Question Determine specs for memory upgrade

Hey guys,I'm new to the computer world so please be patient.I have an older laptop and was told I should upgrade hard drive and memory. The hard drive questions have all been answered but, I have no idea as to how to buy a memory upgrade.I have an old Compaq Armada M700 with a 224mb memory,366mhz processor speed,I think. Could I upgrade to a 512 ? If so what specs do I use to search for one ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Anthony Lackey.

IMO it's not worth upgrading that laptop, because I highly doubt any app that runs on a 366Mhz CPU would benefit from 512MB of RAM.

But if you insist, download cpu-z from www.cpuid.com and click on the memory tab.

if you want to find the Specs on your computer, i use PCWizard, which will scan your computer and tell you basically everything about your parts...

http://www.lavalys.com/ (everest) is another program you can download that will tell you what kind of memory your computer has, allowing you know what you can upgrade too.
