If I dont have a driver for a device go to Driverguide.com. You should try getting a driver a web cam that looks similar. But no brand or anything are you sure.

So I got a message back from the seller on e-bay and he sent me the driver which i have been able to load on to my computer, it tells me to then run the setup and restart my computer.

I plug in the camera and it locates a Vimicro usb camera, then another note comes up telling me that a problem occured with my new hardware so it may not work properly. I then run the amcap program as the instructions for my driver tell me to and it tells me they cannot locate any video device any ideas???

During the installation or anything, was there any hints as to what version Vimicro it is? For an example, here is the driver for the 301x series.

You can try it and hope it works, if not. Try to go through it again or look up in the device manager for any clues.
