Default FX-55 Good Deal?

I was just browsing newegg and came upon the FX-55. It's a sale that ends tomorrow. You get the CPU and a 250gb Seagate SATAII hard drive for free with it. Right now I have an A64 3500+ Clawhammer. Do you think it is a good deal for an upgrade? I already have a good hs+fan...

hmm... thats tempting....
id be inclined to go with a core 2 duo though lol
its a good deal if you definitely arent overclocking i guess...
personally id keep the 3500+ or get a core 2 duo. an upgrade of 200mhz and 512kb of cache isnt that huge.

lol, 200MHz more speed twice the cache and UNLOCKED multipliers guy... thats why the FX's are great...

if he wants to get a C2D, he'll need a new mobo, CPU, RAM ect...

Exactly. I don't need a C2D cause then I would need practically a new computer. But with the FX I can probably get a really good overclock. Right now I can't go past 2.4ghz with my current CPU.
