rethink that son, a ~$300 intel processor beats ALL amd proccesors. not comparitively priced ones, ALL. that means amds top of the line $700 processors too.

Why does Intel suck? The core 2 duo line is far superior to the X2 line.

i have both intel and amd processors and they are very equivelent to one another and amd just whoops intel altogether
also intel focuses more on graphics designing and video editing
amd focuses more on gaming and many processes running

you are comparing amd to the OLD P4S incase you didn't notice

in a minute i'll edit with a newegg listing of what you want if you're that stubborn though...

wow it's been a whole 10 min and you havent commented... normally it takes like 5 and noone else has commented. against forum rules btw.

i call it the "shitforbrains rig"(no case, i'm too lazy)

it's $100 under budget, plenty of space for a case. take that rig for what it's worth: nothing
i just hacked that rig together in about 5 min, it's prolly unbalanced and really shitty. could prolly use a better mobo too.

Not completely true though. The E6600 is $312 where the x2 5000 is $300. Bechmark wise they are close but yes the core 2 duo beats the amd 10%-25%. What I mean though that the E6600 doesn't beat the fx-62 on all tests. The fx beats the E6600 in the majority of tests. Though if the fx was cheaper I would get it but if they were the same price I wouldn't get the fx just because of the core 2 duo overlocking cababilities. Do you get what I am saying? If the 5000+ was say 215-225$ I would get it over the E6600.

Also, when you said intel beats all amd cpu's including the 2,000 opteron processors, you can't really say that. It is hard to compare a server cpu to a consumer cpu. Because I doubt that the core 2 duo perform at par to the opterons on the server level.

*Does this look right? Considering price this is actually kinda cool.
