Sony cyber-shot

Hey guys hope you can help me. can someone tell me if this camera is worth buying? I'll use it for normal picture taking as well as video. is the Mega pixels good or do i need more. Im not able to spend anymore than $300 Aus.

I have always had good luck with Cyber-Shots 3 years my famiily bought DSC-P31 and this March I bought a DSC-H1 both great camera's for ther time and prety cheap to.

and what country are you in?

it looks pretty good at ther site but i can get great 8x10's from a 5.1MP great 5x7's from a 2MP

now the zoom looks good for basic pictures nothing pro. mind you but pretty good.

and what other stuff do you want to know?

Yes, this camera would be fine for what you want to do. The mp's and the zoom should be fine.

Edit: Sorry one more question in that link steves-digicams it says the camera has Movie mode, does that mean i can take video.
sorry to sound dumb. (i don't know very much a about camera's)

Yeah, you can take video. The MP, honestly, doesn't really matter, just hopefully that it's a good one and atleast 3, maybe 4. The MP just give you bigger prints, what you may want to look at more into is the Zoom. Optical vs. Digital. The cybershot should work fine.

i think u could find a different camera for better price and little bit more to it, but u may also want to think about size...small is nice but they are a lot easier to lose and to be stolen!

Olympus's are great! The only real issue I have with them is that they use a semi-unique format that's a little more expensive. But their cameras are great and can definitely be worth the little extra expense...

Complete agreeance there nice those cameras are really good for just all around everyday or trips that u take, yeah they are different format but it won't affect you very much
