Default internet speed???

just wondering if there is anyone having same problem as me

when im connected to the internet there is the two flashing screens on taskbar as i left click it and select status it quickly flashes on my screen, to fast to read...

basicly im with aol and i have router, they say i should be getting speeds of up to 10meg and i want to check (because i dont belive them)

when i used to be with tiscali i just had to hover the curser over the top and it would give me my connection speed.

when i do it now it just says-internet connection status-connected
