motherboard connected?

ok, so im guessing something on my motherboard istn hooked up right or sumthin, but i put the old hard drive from my other computer for now cuz my windows XP CD is f*cked, but when i turn on my computer it starts to work, then the windows loading screen flashes, then a blue screen with some words on it flashes but not quick enough to see and then the computer just restarts. anyone know wuht might be wrong?

does it work ok with your other hard drive in?

Yeah, I'm a bit confused... But, that's totally normal. Windows XP doesn't like to be moved from system to system, particually when major hardware changes are involved. There's nothing much you can do but get another XP disk.
