Default xp home problem

ok i have a XP Home CD but no product key , my uncle had a bunch of OS cd's laying around and he gave me a Home CD, how can i get a product key? or cant i?

well how much is it? how is it illegal if you dont wanna buy 1? theres no other way around it if you dont buy 1..

for XP home I would say maybe $75-$100

and there are ways but we don't talk of them.

Having a key is the same as having a CD with a key, hence the key costs as much as the OS.

well you can buy the upgrade version on sale for $75 at a place like circuit city or www.newegg.com and the Windows XP Professional version for $199 on sale. becouse it's the key that's worth the money not the software.

What you're paying for is the CD Key, the CD is pretty much worthless because you can find copies anywhere. You can have a legit CD, but unless you have a legit CD Key, Windows may have problems.
