mobo heats up...

i have an asus mobo. The big metal thing that sticks out on most mobos. It gets really hot and when i hook up my temp sensors onto it, the sensor on the tower beeps cuz its too hot and im kinda curious on why it gets so hot.

please tell me you have a fan on top of the heatsink and the heatsink is pasted nicely to the processer!!
