Unhappy word error

i worm struck a pc but i managed to cleaned it.One thing i didn't notice was that Ms word docs were reduced to pieces.By this i mean,when i try to open a word document i get the following :

"data error "
[47 0F 94 93 F4 K5]

what is that trying to say ? all docs gives this and cannot be opened isn't there a way to recover...note --> file size is all at 1KB
