do you have a driver disk for it, or at least know the brand and model so you can look to the manufacturer's website for drivers?

your device manager should tell you what kind of modem you have. if you don't already know, right click on my computer and click properties. on the hardware tab, click on device manager. click the plus next to modems. that should tell you what modem you have. you may need to right click on it and look in the properties.
