Default oblivion troubleshooting

well, three things.

1. screen goes black except for stats and such, like my spell and compass are shown but i can't see the landscape. this only happens when im in the planes of oblivion btw, and it goes away if i exit the game and then load where i left off from.

2. when there are a lot of enemies nearby, it lags some. this happens when i do or dont overclock my cpu, when i do or don't overclock my video card, and on highest and lowest settings. however, it happens less when the settings are on lowest... but it still happens.

3. once in awhile, i randomly get a send error report/ don't send and it exit out of the game. this is annoying if i havent quicksaved in awhile, cause then i need to redo everything i accomplished since then!

any help is appreciated. the first problem has a quick fix by restarting the game, and this goes quickly with dual 80gigs, but its still very annoying!

safe to assume that you have the game patched? (if any) Drivers updated? It kind of sounds like your card might be overheating, have you checked the temps?
