What internet speed can a psp handle?

I don't see any indication that they even connect online. They are mainly a self contained portable gaming setup with a rechrgable battery. You can read a brief review on the Sony PSP model at http://www.psp411.com/show/review/19...re_review.html

The internet speed is based upon your internet connection, like you said dl up to 160kbps. It may be slow loading pages because it's taking a while to compile the page. I don't think the memory on it is the fastest either. The downloads are quick because it's just transfering a file and writing it to your memory stick.

I stuck my psp on the charger and had it download various things from filefront.com. Usually game demos, patches, etc.

it's also based on your PSP's supported Wi/Fi standard... i believe it's b/g so theoretically it will support up to 54Mbps... but as other's have stated, with the slow clock speed, memory speed, and memory size, you probably won't ever see it close to that...
