Post Is CCD really that important?

I'm deciding between these two,
Canon SD600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16830120044
Canon SD630
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16830120045
from what I can tell the only difference between the two is a .5" CCD difference, well that and a $50 pricetag. Could anyone tell me why .5" CCD is worth the $50 difference?

Larger sensor, better quality a more complete information you can find here: http://www.dpreview.com/learn/?/Glos...r_sizes_01.htm

Also you should consider buying the SD600

He's referring to the LCD size, one is 2.5" and the other is 3.0".

If I were you, I would look into this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16830120069

he is refering to the ccd the sensor of the camera...

But the camera you suggest him of course it's on a higher level, way better then the other two. Higher shutter speeds, creative modes and of course a bigger sensor.

The CCD sensor of the camera is the same on both, which is 1/2.5". The only difference I can see is that one has a 3" LCD, where the other has a 2.5".

Thanks for the posts both of your suggestions/help has been awesome. I think I decided to go with the SD600, its an ultracompact that I'm getting for my mother to play around with so for a beginner like us it's just right and a bit more affordable. Thanks again
