Default Using LCD HDTV's as computer monitors

I just wanted to get some opinions on whether or not an LCD HDTV can work as a good computer monitor. More importantly whether or not it will work well with a high end gaming pc. I've noticed some of the sharp lcd's have very low refresh rates with high contrast ratios. Is there anything else i should look at that will help me decide if the tv would work well as a computer monitor? If anyone already uses a tv for their monitor let me know what you think.
