Hey everyone, new to the forum and would greatly appreciate any help.
Heres my project. I intend to wire a laptop to my cars dvd/nav screen, and controll it using a peripheral touchpad installed in the center console (my ashtray is perfectly placed, and i dont smoke so itl probibly be fabricated to fit the spot), and i also wanted to get a PDA style foldable mini keyboard, could i run these with the lappy concieled (under seat prob) without any trouble from not using regular touchpad/screen/keyboard? Any advise on how to go about doing this, plus any advise on what equipment (touchpad and keyboard) would work best for this application would be great. I havent seen a foldable keyboard made for this application, so its been somewhat difficult in locating one. im looking for something like this so it can go into the little cubbyhole in my car. (http://reviews.cnet.com/HP_Bluetooth...-31144234.html) I havent decided on a laptop yet, but due to the needs it doesnt really need to be all that special, and ill probibly go used (It doesnt even need to having a decent monitor anyway) For anyone who wants to know, I plan on using the computer for tuning the ECU and hopefully hooking up a lynxys wifi adapter for surfing on the go. |
