I've completely stuffed up something I was trying to do yesterday. Thanks TimW and BirdBath for your help, but somehow I managed to screw it up anyway.
I need to re-format my HDD to start fresh. The issue is I don't have the admin password (lost it and can't remember it). Is there a way around needing the admin password to format the HDD? I'll be waiting with anticipation for any help!!! |

You do not need the Admin password to reformat your Hard Drive. This is done in DOS mode and long before the system responds to any passwords. Set your BIOS for CD first boot, put your XP CD in the drive. You should see a prompt to "Hit any key to boot from CD". Then follow the prompts. You will come to a screen where you can format the drive.
