Run a quick search and you will find tons of freewares as well as sharewares for that. Simply type "wav to mp3 converters freewares" in any search engine.

i think you might have trouble with that. If im not mistaken, wma files are protected, so without special software, i dont think you can. To convert others, most media players like windows media player will do some conversions, or like the other dude said, there is a crap-load of freeware out there if you search for it.

Like i said though. I could never find free software that would convert wma.

This one is fairly popular i think:

I am using this one now. I think it has a free 15 day trial.

I use MusicMatch. Works like a charm.

I used musicmatch some time back as well when recording audio in large wavs with the Windows recorder seen in 98 once everything was done. Now you can record mp3 files without converters. There's a free "wma to mp2 converter 1.16" along with a review found at http://free-wma-to-mp3-converter.en....c.com/ie/48461

Mp3 encoder 1.0 is another one found at http://www.download32.com/info/47561.htm

WMP, iTunes and a bunch of others all have converters on them...

WMP 10 + 11 both have the into mp3 converter right there as long as the original format is compatible. If you have some odd format type used by only one or more programs you would then have to run an extended search for a conversion tool. But most audio and vdeo formats alike are pretty much standardized.
