Design, implement, test, and deliver an application that utilizes networks and operating system calls. You can pick your own application as long as they meet the following requirements.
• The software has to have components that communicate across different computers on a network. They can follow a client-server model, or they can be peer-to-peer applications.
The homework must allow multiple computers work at the same time.
• The software has to follow a set of clearly defined protocols.
• At least one side of the application has to be written in C, JAVA or C++. You are encouraged to develop programs that are platform-independent that can run on both Solaris, Linux systems, or even Windows. But this is not a strict requirement.
• what type of application your team will do. Here are some of the ideas. Be creative to come up your own ideas.
o FTP server and client or Chat server and client
o Web server and client with logging capability
o Search engine for the /usr/include directory
o File locator across the network or User locator across the network
o Remote login service



This is my homework.I have to do proposal about it.Can someone give me a proposal about it. That is to work on what? I am running out of ideas.
