Default Morrowind Player (PC), Help-

I'm having a graphical issue while in game on Morrowind. I'm familiar with the Xbox version, as well, and this problem never existed there. The entire game, during play, has this glitch within the layers of textures on nearly everything I gander upon. If anyone could help me, I'd be so relieved to find a cure.

Here are three screenshots in example:

the bottom one is quite common in TES3 as far as i noticed while I played the game... the other 2 are rather odd tough.. have you tried updating the game? ( there should be patches for it ) , and are you running the add-ons? ( Tribunal and Bloodmoon )

As always I suggest updating the game, make sure your drivers are up to date as well.

I've removed all mods. In fact, I reinstalled. I started a new game running only on Morrowind.esm.
Bloodmoon and Tribunal were never installed.

I patched Morrowind as well to version 1.2.0722.

I downloaded the lastest video and chipset drivers and installed them.

I updated DirectX and ran Dxdiag.exe.
I have the latest version with no erroroneous report.

I'm certain all of this was already taken care of, but I didn't want to come back expecting help when I could have mistakenly overlooked one of these procedures.

Sad to say, I'm still having the same graphical issues. What else could I possibly do? I know this is abnormal.

Is your video card over clocked? or has it ever been? Your right this is abnormal to say the least.

Have you tired older video drivers? do you have any issues with other games? (not necessarily the same issue).

It has never been overclocked. This graphics card, which is integrated, seems to run fine with other games such as Anarchy Online and The Sims Classic.

I've also tried running Morrowind with settings taking up the least possible resources, and, still, no avail.

I have not tried using older drivers, and I wouldn't know where to get them. Are you sure that could potentially help?

And before this goes any further, I need to thank you. Lots. I really appreciate your kindness to help.

There is a "possibility" yes. Basically when new drivers are released, often things become broken so to speak. There has been more then one occasion when I had to remove the latest driver to replace it with an older one to fix an issue.

Usually this would have been asked already, what are your system specs?

The processor is a Pentium 4 running at 1.8 GHz. The RAM specs at 256 DDR. And the Video? It's even more saddening- Intel 82845G Integrated Graphics Controller.

I know. The specs seem questionable. If you think that, I can't say you're being any less than rational. I'd think the same way. ...except I have an XPS M1210 that I use almost exclusively for World Of Warcraft. And, pondering this problem, I was more than tempted, ultimately testing the game on that system as well. Results? That same graphical glitch arose there, too.

Why am I on this sullen system with an XPS at my side? Two reasons: One- I prefer a desktop, and this higher grade system is, as you probably already know, a laptop. So when it comes to something, like Morrowind, that the desktop can handle, I'm found sooner on there. Secondly- I have a friend that I've introduced to the game, and whenever he wants to play, I occupy myself on the XPS.

So, I'm wondering... Does the PC version of Morrowind always show itself this way? It's really just disgusting to look at. I just bought Oblivion for PC, and I've decided that before I even opened it, I'm going to go through Morrowind once more. So I bought that as well, taking the course on PC this time instead of the console. But if Morrowind has such an annoying glitch such as this throughout ever breath of gameplay, I'm really starting to wonder... Is Oblivion, too, more appealing on the 360? Should I return it before I break the seal?

I would do a little RAM upgrade, at least 512 more and see if that clears up the issues... Otherwise, a dedicated video card would be in order.
