My dad and I went to wyoming last summer. I am just used to hunting black bears. When I saw a grizzly bear, DAMN, they are huge! I almost crapped my pants, lol. I was up in a tree stand and there was this huge grizzly walking in a medow and I shot it right in heart and that thing ran for a good 2 minutes and so I shot it again in its upper back and that thing just kept running! It finaly went down about 10 minutes later! I couldn't imagine the fealing of a grizzly charging at you. They are one tough breed.
Yeah it is small but I guess it isn't too bad. He stand hunted for a week before he started to run dogs. he wanted too shoot a bigger one but it was late in the season and wanted to fill his tag.

You seen a little young to be hunting bear. How long does it take to get a tag there???

here another PIC

sorry to double post

he has a tag for it and yes it is perfectly legal to hunt bear as long as you have a tag. he was going to use my bro's 45-70 but it shot really really low so he used hes 30-06.

i have never had bear soup, but bear roast is just like a pot roast and you cook it the same way

Yeah I had my tag, It was legal.
It took quite awhile to get it though because getting a tag in another state takes a lot longer then your home state(birth certificate, proof of residency etc.). Have you ever been bear hunting?

It allows you to hunt certain animals. Bear tag, deer tag, etc.

And as for the recipe, I will ask my mom when she gets home

EDIT: Whoops! I asked my mom what the recipe of bear soup was that she cooks us and she's like "What?! DOn't you mean stew?"
Heh, sorry about that
And if you want the recipe to bear stew, let me know!

Hahah, stereotypes are funny. I can garuntee you that no one hunts drunk. And if they do, then they already killed themself somehow. I mean, it is hard enough to hit an animal sober, let alone drunk. I have never seen anyone drink and hunt.

And that stereotype is completely wrong... Insulting actually.

The only way you have a probable chance of shooting someone is if you are duck/bird hunting or something.
