Default Please help me!

Hi guys!

I have a serious problem and I don't know how to solve it.

I was working on my friends computer and everything was fine until I put the computer in the Standby mode. Since then I can't turn it on whatever I do.

The system is WIN XP Pro.

PLEASE HELP ME! I have some important documents there and I need them very bad.

Thank you in advance.

Could you please elaborate on how it "won't turn on" I mean, is it stuck in standby?

That's right. It's stuck in standby and I can't do nothing about it. I've tried to turn on and of but it did nothing, I've tried to put it out from to power outlet and still the result was the same. There is nothing I could do. I'm clueless.

So when you unplug it and plug it back in, it wont allow you to start it up?

Now when you try to start it up, where does it freeze up?

If you can unplug it and it still won't come on, then it's not stuck in standby. This probably won't help, but unplug it for a few minutes, the flip it on to see what happenes. And tell us exactly what it does. Any beeps, any lights, fans, etc etc...

The problem is that when I start my computer, I only see a short messege on my monitor saying "Power saving unit" which suggests the computer is in standby mode.

Ok. I just did that and it I turned on my computer and it started normally, the sounds were normal, I've tried to push all the buttons but it didn't help.

I don't know what to think, the fact is that when I put it in the Standby mode the problems occured. I know it's strange that the computer won't start even though I unplug it, but I don't have any ideas what could be the problem.
