Question RAID with usb2 drives?

Do you know if it's possible to combine usb2 hard drives in raid? I have 5x LaCie 250GB external hdd designed by Porshe - link ?

Any ideas?

There are external RAID devices, and I have heard of software raid. Howeve, you'd be much better off getting a pair of internal drives and running them in RAID. Realize USB2.0 is basically limited to ATA33 speeds. So, the max theoretical speed you could get would be ATA66, if you're lucky...

might we assume you mean RAID 0?
yea dont bother, you wont notice a huge difference, plus you'd have to wipe the hard drives you plan on using in the array...
what do you install windows and all your games on external drives?
a single internal would be quicker in my opinion.
you're much better off getting RAID 0 with internal devices, not to mention i dont think its even possible to do with with USB devices.

haha you could get like 2x2gb flash drives, fast ones, and just set them up in RAID 0 and use it as a paging file... yea not gonna happen.
