Default Best One-Slot card?

I recently bought a x1900xtx only to then find my stupid Dell case wouldnt accomodate one due to the backplates not being in the position needed, i can't afford to buy a whole new computer and as far as i know because Dell stupidly puts everything on the opposite side of most cases i don't think itcan just swap things into a new one. So my only option i think is to sacrifice my x1900xtx (something i REALLY dont want to do), and opt for a one slot card but i'm not sure which one is the best atm?

There is always the option to swap cases. I'm not sure the internals of your Dell PC but just about anything is possible if you have the tools. I would consider a cheaper case so If need be you can cut etc. without feeling that your destroying a perfectly good case . This could all be unnecessary but I'm taking your word on the fact that the internals of the pc wont allow the card to fit. Remember that if your PC is under warranty, this should not be done.

what do you mean it has the opposite direction? Isnt that BTX? ( if so, you could get a BTX case and put everything in it )

I believe the 7950gt is a one of the best single slotted cooler cards available.

I'm just cuirous...exactly why won't it fit? Is there not an open port above the PCI-Express slot, or some other reason? I didn't know if there was some way to slightly modify the card(like remove the duel slot cover) and make it work... Of course, if there's no way to get air, the card would overheat But I did think the newer dells(at least the GX620s) had a basically open back end...
