As others have pointed out, unless you can find 2GB sticks of RAM, you will have to stick to 4GB (which I recommend). There is also no need in spending that much on a motherboard or case. Any $250 motherboard will do, as well as any sub-$150 case will do. May I recommend the Antec P180B case to you? It would suit your needs well.

As I know the AMD will release their quad core in mid 2007

Also, how can you know that AMD quad core will blow intel's quad cores out of the water before AMD releases their quad core ?? !!!!

I think you are just an AMD fan boy.

I really think this guy just looked for the most expensive parts he could find.

if you are serious about a build like this, either wait until quad core prices go down, or just go with a dual core for now.

also, yes 4gb should be all you need and you probably wont be able to get more then that without paying a butt-load.

finally, AMD quad core is probably going to beat intel if it follows the cycle like it always does.

No, i think the smart thing to do would be to give me $1000, then build the computer. You know, that way u will have my blessing to build it.

anyway, one last thing if u are serious about this build, check out what other people are using for CAD and how its working out for them. You don't HAVE to have the best equipment for everything.

Because Intel's quad core isn't quad core, it's dual dual core. AMD's is actually quad core.

My friend "Bobo" their no such thing called as an actual quad core or false quad core

quad core means quad core
dual dual core means quad core

Intel quad core is a true quad core, but the cach memory is not shared by the all cores, each two have shared cach memory.

The new AMD quad core will have shared cach memory for the cores,

Thats the only difference that I know between AMD and intel quad core, but this doesn't mean that AMD quad core will perform better.
You should wait to see some benchmarks

Some agree, some don't.
Intel did take the cheaters way around and just slapped on two Core 2 Duo dies, and called it a quad core. This means that the data between them has to be communicated via the FSB, where as if it was a true quad-core, they would communicate internally, and produce less of a bottleneck.

It is not a false quad core, but it certainly is nowhere as good as a true one.

I never said it wasn't quad core. I said it wasn't true quad core. But this is an opinionated point, and let's leave it as such and not argue over trivialities.

What do you mean it won't perform better? That's a big difference.
