Post Doing a bit of Homework

Just wondering but I'm just trying to see how things compare, When I compare the Amd sempron series, between the +3000 and +3400 the frequency difference is 1600 MHz and 2000 MHz, trying to find out how it affects a system and how important is the +400 MHz ($11.99 difference)

I would deffinetly pay $12 for an extra 400Mhz.

But you do know that the 3000+ is AM2, and the 3400+ is 754 right?

You dont need a dual-core CPU to use DDR2-800, just a DDR2-800 compatible motherboard.

if you want to use an AMD Sempron, just look for one that is socket AM2... it uses DDR2 RAM... but, like Geoff said, your motherboard must support it also...
