anyone been to see the new bond yet?
Have to say i personally thought it was one of the best films of the year and ranks with some of the best bond movies to date. Daniel Craig plays bond in his earlier years (bear in mind that casino royale was the first bond written but due to issues at the time Dr no was the first produced) So its goes back to bond just as he gets his "double oh" status. He seems to play bond much more true to the books and its extemely well done. Even after just one film i would say he's getting close to being my favourite bond (and no, i'm not biased because he comes from near where i live )definate recommend to go and see this one guys

but i was honestly kinda skeptical about watching a new bond... brosnan was an excellent bond, but i hear that craig is supposed to be the dark side, so to speak... |

aye brosnan was a good un, but i think daniel craig has the potential to be up there (or above) Sean and Roger. Its the darker bond thats in the books, he's more......human i suppose.

lol, yeah i imagine it will touch a nerve with some
![]() I think its mainly cos its something a bit different, every bond otherwise has just tried to imitate Sean. However Sean never played bond true to how Ian Fleming wrote it. He played Bond how people at the time of Dr No's release would have liked. I don't think the public in 1962 would have endeared themselves to someone who although was saving the world had to be a pretty evil bastard at times in order to do it. So he became the suave sophisticated man that people imagined a Spy to be in those times. But we are in a new millenium now and so its time to show Bonds true colours. Of course he is still the ladies man with an incredible array of one liners, but he also has a dark side to him that enables him to do his job for "queen and country" Anyways, if you do go and see it I would recommend you go in open minded and not with a view of how James Bond "should" be. Reckon you will enjoy it for sure

possibly a marketing ploy, as they do need a change i guess, but he is more true to the character that Ian Fleming wrote in his books originally

Yeah I saw it over the weekend last week, and it was fantastic. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, movie of the year.
