i'm sure they work fine, they play music, the screens are nice and clear...but they don't appeal to me visually at all and i don't like the interface at all.

On the other hand, I love the small size of the new nano, and also the buttons. But that's it. It's like the razr. It's crap, but as soon as you have one, you're cool.

I hate the fact that I just bought the new Sony Ericson W810i phone and it is literally a THOUSAND times better than the 80GB Ipod I bought last month(and I got a free 1GB memory stick DUO).

I know this is an anti Ipod thread, but I do like having the ability to access my entire music collection on the go... but, being able to store my top 300 songs in my phone (and the quality matches the Ipod) plus all the goodies of a camera phone is well worth almost a fourth the cost of the Ipod.

I hate the fact that it needs iTunes!
I hate that it doesn't have a built-in voice recorder
I hate how expensive "additions" are, when they should've been there in the first place (FM tuner, voice recorder)

1. It needs iTunes (i like Winamp)
2. I can't just use a normal USB cable (dumbest thing about the ipod)
3. Scroll wheel isn't all THAT great.
4. Scratches easily (Creative puts a protective coating on their players, it still scratches but MUCH less)
5. Thickness wins out to overall small size (i.e.the nano is WAY too thin, it need to be slightly thicker but more compact (look at the Zen V or V Plus))
6. Protection of copyrights wins over user-friendliness
7. Have to buy features for it that other players have integrated (radio, mic, etc.)
8. Not very customizeable (cant have a background without hacking, and as far as I know, no way to change the interface color from blue)
9. Needs better headphones (Creative's come with much better headphones)
10. There are just so many much better players on the market that get overshadowed by the iPod.

Also, it's kinda funny, I have a Zen V and everybody else has an iPod. When someone sees an iPod its like"....cool, I got one too" but so far about 8 people have asked me ("WOW what's that? Dude, thats sooo cool. I want one. How much are they?")

LOL yea I get that a lot with the Razr and my phone. Everybody thinks the "in" thing is soooo cool until they see something that is truely better.

i love ipod. nah not really but i like my shuffle as i can use it at the gym and its not 60gb and ways a ton. thats what i have to say!
