Exclamation Duel Channel Question

This may seem like a trivial question but I really don't remember the answer. I have an Intel 865PERL board. DIMM. DDR. 2 channels, A and B. Each channel has DIMM 0 and DIMM 1. Are they duel channel? Second question. If my board is duel channel is it better to get a 2x512MB kit or 2 seperate 512 sticks. Does it make a difference? Third question. If it is better to have a kit. Would the computer recognize it if I hat the 512 sticks on seperate Channels? Thanks.

putting the ram in dimm0 for each channel or dimm1 will let it run in dual channel. usually buying 2 identicle sticks will work just as well as a dual channel kit. dual channel mode only works if all ram installed is the same size
