anybody know when the 1st AGP slot was made in a computer? 2000?

lol, i dont use Google, i use Yahoo lol..

hmm, i wonder why my Optiplex didnt come with a AGP slot?

my friends Ultra desktop has a AGP slot and it's probrably the same age, maybe a little bit older, but thats a AMD computer if that matters..

Just because they started using them in 1996 doesn't mean that any computer made after 1996 has one. Dell usually doesn't include a slot that they think that nobody is going to use. That's why your Optiplex doesn't have one.

True, or perhaps in their lower-end models. Even today some Dell's don't come with AGP or PCI-E slots, just PCI.
