Smile Just posting this so as to get some backup from all of u

ok.like the title says..im just advising a friend to upgrade his XPSP1 to XPSP2 for security reasons..He doesn't believe that we can perform an upgrade over sp1 with an XPsp2 disc..Also he doesn't believe that there's no data lost in upgrade ( not in my knowledge,never happened to me)..

please guys support me on this one.
is what i said true or false ??!!......lol

No data is lost, I believe that when updating to SP2 it creates a backup. Also yes just put in the XP SP2 CD and a menu should come up with options to install SP2.

Yea it is probably a good idea to upgrade, there is alot more security in SP2. There should be no data loss.

You don't loose data and i am not sure if you can update from a disk, but i know you can from the internet
