I think everyone here is saying what they prefer, but I believe he's asking which is better. And Intel is better performance wise.

not true, i personally prefer AMD, and i don't even know why anymore ... but i stated the better manufacturer at this time ... and intel rules the market...

Whats not true? The Core 2 Duo (especially the quad), outperforms the FX-62 in everything except for the sciencemark memory test.

you had stated "everyone here is saying what they prefer"

to which goosy replied "not true" (as in its not everyone)

as he then explained he prefers AMD but had stated that Intel was the best at the moment

does this mean intel is number one fursure? or is it a good idea to buy amd because amd might pull ahead soon ?

It depends on when you buy Amd won't release any thing new it tell sometime in 2007 intel has the best CPU's out there right now

Thats true. Intel is releasing its Quad Core so early to earn some money. AMD is waiting. Waiting...

At this very moment in time, Intel produce the best processors (the Core 2 Duo's).
