Unhappy Help!!!!!!!!!

Okay well i posted previous before thinking that when i put discs into my computer they get scatched but all the problem is now whenever i put any disc in it says theres no disc. I tried to install a game but nothing still, please i need help.

Did you just install Windows or did you just add the disc drive? Maybe you havn't installed the driver it needs to be recognized by your computer. What type of drive is it, what type of operating system do you use, and what have you done recently that might have messed it up?

Well i had the computer for about 3 months now and its been fine, i've been burning discs latley thats all, ive also done system resore, where can i install the drive?

Are you running windows XP? Can you post some system specs?

Well its a Compaq Presario, 1 gig of Ram, 200 GB Hard Drive, ummmmm, ill try find out more dont really know much bout it as of yet.

Is it under warranty? That seems like the best option if it is defective. Maybe it was damaged and only worked for a short amount of time before scratching itself so much that it broke...

I really don't know how to help you. It is only a matter of time before some who knows what they're doing comes along...
