I've got a problem and I think maybe somebody here can help. I've bought some music from Itunes and I want to burn it to a CD, but since music bought from Itunes is in a strange format (m4p), the only program that can burn the music is Itunes itself.
The problem is that when I burn a CD with Itunes, there's this crackling static noise throughout the CD. I know that the problem isn't with my CD Burner. I tested that by burning a normal Mp3 CD, which turned out fine. Also, I've succesfully burned a CD with Itunes before. This problem has only started recently. What should I do? Thanks |

Assuming that the device you are playing the CD on isn't the problem, then I'm not sure what to do. I tried burning a CD with Windows Media Player and Nero and you are right. I doesn't do it.
I would say- Google "m4p converter" or "m3p encoder" and look for a free program that will change the file type so that other programs can copy it. If you REALLY think that it is iTunes' fault, then just back-up your itunes music folder and re-install it. Maybe the software was bad?

as for your little dilemma, you could burn an mp3 cd, and then just drag and drop them into a folder. of course, that'd take a super long time... so my suggestion would be to find a converter. i found a nice little instruction manual right here, written by a source ive never heard of, but it was the first hit on google for "m4p" basically, try it. if you dont like it google m4p and see what it comes up with.
