Default Check out these computer specs...

Hello,

Brand new to this forum! Buying my 1st build and wondering how these spec's add up. Not really on too much of a budget, building my computer for a graphic design company i am jumpstarting and so the best possible components are needed. My max is 2,200 i'd say though...

If you have any suggestions, as to what would be "better" or more compatable for this build, thats my 1st question, or if you think it's just right tell me. Tell me also, if i'm missing anything, like, do i need cords or anything else, i may have overlooked...

Spent alot of time researching this....

You build is good, but instead of getting E6700, get E6600 because you can easily overclock it to E6700 speeds or more

Also, for little more you can get BFG 7950GT

yes, everything will work fine... only one comment, if you are starting a graphic design company, you may want a graphics card that was designed for that purpose... the video card you have is more or less geared for gaming... i don't know how it will perform for your purpose though...

i would recommend that you look into ATI's FireGL series cards... as they were made with graphic artists in mind...

well, if i'm not really running maya, only photoshop, dreamweaver, flash 8, and quark, things of that nature will the 7950 gt work okay?

just wondering cuz, its more geared toward web design, plus my girlfriend is a digital photographer...

I would suggest that instead of your current harddrive, you get a smaller 10k or 15k drive and put windows on it, and use that as the harddrive you boot to. Then, get a second, bigger harddrive, and use that for storage.
