I am running win 2000 and acording to my computer i have lost MSVCR71.dll can anyone tell me where to find it

You can download it here http://www.driverskit.com/dll/msvcr71.dll/2373.html

It's part of Microsofts runtime library and can reside anywhere so look at the error message for where it is missing.
