Default Help!!!!

recently installed some new antivirus software, however now when computer boots up i log on, and its impossibly slow, nothing works and everything freezes and i have to restart. i tried getting into safe mode so i could do system restore but system resotre doesnt work, it gets to the page where its loading the drivers, and stops
anyway i wanna get rid of this software without having to reinstall windows or anything, is there an option i can use to restore the computer or somehting? thanks in advance

It sounds like the anti-virus software is running a scan every time you turn computer on.

Start > Run > Type msconfig.

Go to the last tab on the window that appears. Find the start-up entry for your anti-virus software, and de-select it. No need to have it opening up every time you turn the computer on.

Let us know if that helps, or doesnt help.
