Gigaflop.

Defined as a billion floating-point operations per second.

NIC Card... it just makes me laugh every time someone says it!

I was at an electronics store (Fry's) a few weeks ago and one of the sales guys was trying to make a sale off a lady who knew about as much about computers as I know about purses (had to go shopping with the woman on Friday, amazing how long it takes to find the right purse..) and he said NIC Card.. I could not help but laugh.

I also like the phrase "It's okay to act SCSI every once in awhile."

It changes from day to day. Today it's JBOD (just a bunch of disks). It usually creeps into my mind when a RAID array is just about to fail...oh no !!!
