Default Computers ACting Up

alright my moms computer got screwed up when service pack 2 was screwed up, so we took it in 2 futureshop and they fixed it rreal good it loads so slow absulutely everything, its very annoying it use to be a decent comp but now its so diggy, is there snything i could do toget it running good?

what are the specs?

maybe infected with some sort of virus/bunch of spyware?

Yeah probably time for Format & re-instal of windows (Thats of course you have the disk?)

It would be quicker than searching for viruses and realy getting rid of them imo.

not really dude, cause you gotta re-install/download everything you had on your computer lol..

its an
amd 2800
512mb ram
160gb harddrive

alright when we took it in they gave us the works internet 6, sp2, and other little things, but we cant format casue we dont have a windows xp cd.

well we got no good virus protection, avg wont work for us, and we have ran spybot.... another thing i failed ot mention when they fixed our comp they took 60 gbs im assuiming for a backup partition fo some sort
