Default Computer Monitors High Definition

Would normal computer monitors, such as a fairly new 19" TFT run in High definition?

Reason im asking, if i plug my Xbox 360 into this monitor, will it be in High definition, and show the same quality as on a High Def TV?

The computer monitors will support the resolution, but how are you trying to hook the 360 up to the monitor?

Don't they make a digital cable for you to connect, like a HDMI connector? I was under the impression that an HDMI was the same except for an HDMI had sound media being connected through it as well. My mistake, but with that high of image quality, VGA is balls for it.

I think they have DVI cables for Xbox 360 too.
