Default Hub and performance question

I recently posted about Running a LAN off a hub while on a router.

I know now it will work for sure easily.
But do any of you now if running 2 or 3 computers off a HUB that is connected to a Router give me Horrible performance?
im thinkng it will

Well, since hubs are pretty stupid devices and will send all packets to all computers on in, you will notice performance decrease if used under heavy bandwidth.

I'd say, go get you a cheapo $15-20 switch, and be merry
