Default only one speaker working?

i have 2 speakers that connect to the bass, and only one speaker is working along with the base. is that a speaker problem or sound card problem? settings problem? anybody know?

That could be one of the things named there or a need to configure the sound card's software. A bad connection or plug is another to look at. You can also check to see which jacks were used on the sound card itself.
