Default Sound through my HDMI connection

Hey, I just hooked up my computer to a LCD HDTV through a HDMI/DVI change-over, I want to know if at all possible, could I get computer sound to come through my TV speakers.
I know HDMI and DVI have sound capabilities, but I dont see a setting on my sound card options.
Thats again for you help, Joe

I'm quite sure that's impossible. You probably just have to convert the headphone jack from your soundcard to RCA.

No, HDMI is audio and Video (http://www.hiddenwires.co.uk/resourc...051201-02.html, although if you are using a DVI-HDMI cable on your computer the audio signal will not be sent, in which case you will need a separate cable to transfer the audio

Links doesnt work, but i'll take your word for it. I always thought HDMI was similar to component and DVI, being that they don't carry audio.
