Default External HDD Error. HELP ! ! !



This happens when I double click to open the External HDD.


Anyone can help on this please?

provide more info on your external HDD, is it connected to a USB?
why is it lookingn for boot.exe?

Yes, it is connected to the USB 2.0.


I have no idea why its asking me for a boot.exe file.

Press Control + Alt + Delete, then move to the processes tab. Is there a boot.exe program in that list?

Also, What happens if you right click on the hard drive, and click Explore?

Have you scanned for viruses or anything? I did a quick search on google and found a couple occurances of this problem, but no real solutions.

Yes, I scanned with nod32, kaspersky, spyware doctor, ad-adware and registry cleaner but to no avail.


Looks like my school as been infected with this problem and many of us have this problem.

Still looking forwad to anybody with the cure tos this virus/problem.
