Default Cant connect to internet or router

Hi
I have a netgear MR814 v2 router attached to my PC, all was well untill yesterday since when i have not been able to connect to the internet or the router settings from the PC. The internet service is not the problem and I know the router is not the problem as i can still access the internet wirelessly on my laptop, also I have connected the laptop to the router via an ethernet cable and i am able to access the router settings via the laptop this way. I have also tried resetting the router but with no avail.
Does anybody have any idea how I can solve this problem?
Thanks

So the router can connect wirelessly to the router?
If it can then it is probably a problem with the ethernet cable. Try making sure it is firmly inserted and if your router has more than one ethernet port try a different one with a different ethernet cable. Can the laptop connect to the internet with an ethernet cable instead of wireless.

I have tried connecting the laptop via ethernet cable and it does work so the cable is not the problem.
I can't ping the router though, just says request timed out.
The computer does say that the network is connected but on the status box, the number of bytes sent is increasing but none are being recieved.

Did you change your network settings on your PC in any way? This could be the problem since your laptop is working fine. Other than that, it may be an ip issue that your router is giving out to the PC and printer. Is the printer connected to the PC? Or is it networked itself and wifi capable.

The internet was working fine on Sunday and when I went to use it on monday it would not connect to the internet or the router settings. The printer is connected to the PC and shared through XP.
