I haven't spent any time with MCE but am able to run any multimedia apps on either the Home or Pro editions of XP installed here without problems. I readily use tv tuner/video capture devices regularly without any problems. The first thing to do there is look over what MCE offers before deciding on any alternate version of Windows. MCE has it's own features.

MCE is XP packaged with additional mutlmedia features. A tv tuner card will work on XP Home, Pro, and MCE alike. The home page for the 2005 version of XP is found at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/m...r/default.mspx
