xp wont boot

I cloned the drive from my emachiens to a slighty older computer then when i booted it it sadi disk read error. then i used the system restore disk for emachine son it "worked great" unitl it rebooted and it stops right before the windows logo screen. im not sure what is wrong with it. i feel that i am very close to making this wrok

yes nad yes i also know that xp isnt supposed to be used on a new machine but people have done it before so i know its possible

You can't use a restore CD from another machine. Get a valid key/install disk.
