It really depends on what you like to play? I'm sure many members will be happy too recommend just about anything . But what are your interests?

Guild Wars - Three versions, no montly fee
City of Heroes & City of Villains - Made by same company (ArenaNet), needs montly fee, no expansion packs, but still pretty cool
World of Warcraft - montly fee, supposedly the most addicting one
Everquest 2 - Expansion pack availble, montly fee, pretty good, large fan base
Star Wars Galaxies - fairly decent, try the afore mentioned ones first...

as for others..., just look around and see what strikes your interest. I would suggest pc.ign.com as a good review (they have their own and user reviews available)

one game u dont need subscription for is runescape, free too. i got into that back in the day, and it is fun when u play it a bunch. Getting into a mmorpg is a risky business, cuz ull find urself void of time to do anything else. If u do tho, u should prob find someone (maybe in this forum) who plays too to show u round and help out a bit
