Default ATI Wonder Remote?

Has anyone used the ATI Wonder Remote 1? I just bought one for $5 off of Ebay and I must say it is pretty handy, but for some reason I cant get the mouse move slower across the screen. It just flies around like a bat out of hell and makes it hard to click on anything. I have adjusted the mouse settings slowest and it has not changed anything. So I just wanted to see if anyone on here has had any experience with and if the problem I'm having is a common one
