Default backing up stuff

Hello, I just recently messed up and lost some information on my computer so know I plan on backing up all important information. What is the best way of going about this? I probably have about 60 gigabytes of music etc. that I would need to backup. I will probably have to do this 2 times a month so I would like a fast method of doing this. What would you guys suggest I do? Thank you for the help.
